One of our favorite lab moments this year was an informal lunch that turned into a small celebration. We’re grateful to our postdoc, Mukesh, for bringing authentic homemade Indian food and sharing the story behind each dish. The aromas filled the room, the table quickly became the center of the lab, and the conversation drifted from research to travel, family, and the little details that make a group feel like a community.
Everyone who was there — Yuri, Mukesh, Itay, Kirill, and Kirill’s son Jacob — enjoyed the food and the warm atmosphere. It was one of those simple afternoons that reminds us that good science is built not only on ideas and code, but also on people, kindness, and shared moments.
